During difficult times, we provide exceptional support to the villages under our mentorship. Special operations and funds from our sponsors are activated to assist people in challenging situations.
Flood relief, 2023
After the heavy floods in Tamil Nadu in late 2023, several villages were severely impacted, facing disruptions in food supply and transportation. Even worse, some of their houses got destroyed. In response, AIRD directly supported these villages by delivering essential provisions, and vouched for them for further financial assistance if their accomodations were affected.
In our flood relief operation, AIRD provided aid to more than 150 families and delivered 200 packages of basic provisions and food supplies to multiple villages affected by the floods.

COVID-19 Support
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many families in rural communities faced extreme challenges, including food shortages due to lockdowns and disrupted supply chains. Daily wage earners and vulnerable households were among the hardest hit, struggling to meet their basic needs.
AIRD mobilized resources to provide essential support. We organized food donation drives across several villages, ensuring that families received the provisions they needed to endure these difficult times.
